Life Married Loretta Mick in 1965. I have been a court reporter since 1967, living in Midland since 1969. We have two daughters, Monica and Sheila. Monica lives in Midland and followed in my footsteps as a court reporter. She works as a District Court Reporter for the 441st District Court in Midland, with her office right above mine in the new 11-story courthouse. We sold our free-lance firm, Permian Court Reporters, September 1, 2010. I retired from the courthouse November 30, 2011. Sheila lives in Frisco, Texas, is married to Jason Elliott, and has three sons, Dillon, Ethan and Colby. Colby was born with hypoplastic left heart syndrome, where there is no left side of the heart. He has had five open-heart surgeries and two angioplasties, and is doing wonderful. You would never know he is not 100% perfect - just a ball of energy. Colby has been on prayer and email lists all across this great country. Prior to the kids being born, Sheila taught music both privately and in the public schools. We have an absolutely beautiful granddaughter, Kenzie. She was born in Guatemala April 23, 1999, and was adopted at age six months by our daughter, Monica.
