Jerve's Story
After school I basically floated around and got into lots of mischievous stuff. Basically, you name it and I probably did it! (LOL)
It started to turn around when I was asked to take a ride to Northern California, I was supposed to be back in about 2 or 3 days. That visit lasted for over 14 years. It was just what I needed.
I continued on a wild streak for a little while but then the Lord called on me and POW!!!! I was totally transformed. (LOL) Now, keep in mind, that transformation didn't happen over night. My husband always says, " it was like taming a wild animal." (LOL)

hung in there. We have been group home counselors and foster parents. My foster son is grown now and in Barber College. We have 2 children of our own, both boys. They are 10 and 6 years old. We relocated to Georgia in 2005 where my husband teaches elementary children.
The Lord placed on my heart the desire to protect and educate victims of domestic violence. I facilitate support and education groups at both my church and at confidential domestic violence safe houses. It's a tremendous joy to see the transformation and restoration in others.
