OK...UPDATE!!!!
Year-2003 Met the most wonderful Lady on the train from Chicago to Houston.
Deanie has already gone her way, new man in her life, now, perhaps I have met
my new Lady! Spent Christmas with my kids in the old neighborhood, looks diff
after the houses rebuilt from the flood of Allison. Man, that was a weekend to remember!
Happened to be home that weekend from Chicago and stayed for 23 days cleaning up and
saving what I could for storage and hope for better times later....
Year....2005 Married to that WONDERFUL Lady!! Living in Oklahoma with property and a nice custom home.
Deanna will be retiring in June next year from teaching school, I am working in OKC while she has to stay at
the Lake of Ozarks house in Missouri. Have liked living on the lake, but town is getting too crowded. They
put in the second red light in town with the new Super Walmart.........
Year...2006 I am working construction management in Indiana and Deanna gets to visit, weeks at a time, so
we get to go to Indy 500, Wrigely field, Churchill Downs, Covered Bridge festival, new winerys, etc. as we
explore our country. We really enjoyed me being in Erie, Pa. as we saw Niagara Falls more than once, visited
Canada, lots of festivals, winerys, etc......
Year... 2008 Now in Georgia, just South of Macon at Robins AFB for construction. New site and good people
to meet and manage as we build for the Air Force. Yes, deanna and I are seeing the sights... Savanna, Tybee Island, Atlanta, Stone Mountain, Hilton Head. Drove to Fla, down to Ft Meyers, Tampa, over to Miami and then took a cruise to Western Caribbean (Grand Gaymen, Honduras, Belize, Cozumel). Really ...Expand for more
want to get back home to Okla, closer to Texas and when I get to visit my kids and sisters/mother in East Texas/Houston area. Hope all friends made it OK through Ike and all that came with. We only have twisters to be concerned with, and some have been too close for comfort... but no direct hits... do have a new shelter when built bigger garage.
Year...2011 Well, at least now I am getting to work at AFB in OKC area, so home every night (after 12 hr days).
But not complaining, get to be with Deanna and our Furkids, work around my own property for a change and do the landscaping, improvements, etc. Waiting for the change to come in 2012.......... Peace...Luv
all NJROTC - including C.O. rank
I am currently working in Waukegan,Illinois as
construction supervisor on Great Lakes NTC, but go home to Houston every 3 weeks and WILL be in town on the first weekend of October for the reunion. It really doesn't ssem like it's been thirty years, does it? Thinking of all the freinds we have seen since that day in May,'70 and at the previous reunions. The guys all get "bigger" and the ladies prettier. We did have an outstanding class we are all, I;m sure, are proud of. We should be. So many things changed after our time of Peace-Luv in our world and bringing up children in the world as it is today has been a challenge. But it has been an even greater pleasure. Does every one else also get the impression we sound/think a lot like our parents sometimes? Some things never do change, they simply relocate in time and space. Life is good and with the blessings of our Creator it always can/will be better so long we all strive for the benefit of our loved ones and all else deemed important in this world we live. Anyway, looking forward to seeing friends/classmates, both old and new, this October. Still, one thing never changes, Peace - Luv. Jesse
