Life
What's up everyone? Unfortunately I've done a really bad job keeping track of my high school buddies. It's pretty pathetic actually. But I think I'm paying the price for it because now I'm not even sure who I am any more.
Sometimes I sit back and look at what I did and what I stood for in high school and I try to figure out how that person is still me. In a way we all helped define each other, for better or worse.
At the same time, I've gone on with things and earned 3 college degrees, found a great soul-mate, and have a steady career. But I still ask, "what di...Expand for more
d I want to be when I was 17?" And no one is around to help answer that.
School
My Junior year I was one of the football team's manager (a.k.a. Waterboy). One day it must have been well over 100 degrees and I was taking a couple of players down to the pool for "hydro-therapy." Basically, they were to wade around in the shallow end to work their leg muscles as part of their recovery. When other players found out and realized that they had to practice in pads, I started to get other requests for hydro-therapy and eventually had a half dozen players in the pool working out.
