Life After working as a dice dealer in New Mexico, I moved to Denver with my best friend, husband and partner in crime, Jeremy, to finish my mechanical engineering degree at University of Colorado at Denver. Since graduating (FINALLY) in May of 2007, I have started graduate school and am teaching at the university here in Denver. I have two cats and my favorite person in the world to keep me company here in Denver: my husband, Jeremy. My signature 3-foot long hair was chopped off for an update to match my lifestyle, and no longer look like the librarian I used to. I happily lead an active life sans children and tie-downs, with no looking back...I do not miss Albuquerque, but I love being close enough (just) to be able to pop back for a weekend with my friends. What is the same? I still hate conformity, I still walk my own path (although I now share that path with Jeremy), and I still judge sincerity and loyalty to be vital to any relationship. I suppose that is why the friends that were worth keeping are the ones I still have! I consider myself to be the luckiest woman I know, and plan to remain so. School Everyone who knew me in the slightest knew who my crush, my one big crush that lasted more than a decade, was. I won't cheapen him by mentioning his name here. Hopefully, he knows who he is.
