Workplace
During my college years, I alternated with running the St.Mary's Patient tray line on break to work study at school, mostly within the Chemistry Dept. I loved giving Freshman Chem and Majors Organic Lab Hell. I finally had a break from the 300% turnover Hospital job in Summer of 2000 with my chance at an Internship at Johnson Wax Professional, in their Wet Lab with the Engingeering Group, ocacationally helping in the R&D Chem Labs. I had a great time that summer testing new machinery and cleaning formulations late at night and into the morning at Paradise West.

e Termporary employee life in the common environment known as Office Reception and File Clerk. Never again.
Miracle time! Sciene temp position opens at Johnson Wax Profesional - soon to be Johnson Diversy. To be followed by 3 years of Johnson Wax Temp positions, alternating with unemployment. May 2001- Sept 2004 were harsh years for all of us. My mom asked me one day after job searching, "Why aren't you getting a job?" -I think this was in summer 2003- and I answered, " Here is this past two weeks search," handing her a pile of papers reading "24 Chemist Positions needed ASAP - Saudi Arabia." She shut up on that for a while.
But I have been blessed with a good job at NanoScale Corporation, a nanomaterials and technology research buisiness since Oct. 20, 2004. Its almost 3 years as a Chemist I, and 1.5 years since I've been the Hazardous Waste Manager for the site.
