Jessica's Story
Life
This is probably more than you'll ever need to know about my post SSHS life:
After leaving Santa Su, I spent a semester at Moorpark College then headed to USC for the spring of 2000. I completed my BA in Broadcast journalism. During my studies at USC, I traveled to London, where I spent a semester amongst "the history." It was the greatest thing I have ever done. Also while at 'SC, I got my feet wet at Annenberg TV News (a student-run TV news station). That's where I learned that I loved to produce local newscasts.
After graduating, I was lucky enough to get a job in Fresno as a producer. I began working on the Noon newscast and quickly jumped to the Morning Show. upport of my loving boyfriend, Ben, who I have been with for more than six years. After Fresno, I decided I missed home too much. I came back to L.A. and got a job with KABC (Channel 7). I am a freelance newswriter and producer and still mostly work on the morning shows (including weekends). But I realize I was super lucky. And here I am now-- living in Fullerton with Dr. Ben. He's a chiropractor, which comes in handy more than you may know. We have two cats named "Psycho" and "Turkey" (don't ask!!). The two cats are more of a handfull than children would be. No plans for any of those just yet.
I'm really into travelling. In October I went to Italy for a second time. I just wish I had more vacation time, oh and MONEY, to travel all of the time. I also like movies, books, and scrapbooking-- and pretty much anything else creative.
