Life
I am working for TIC (The Industrial Company) in Carlin NV. we are installing a whole new mine 22mi. East of Battle Mtn. NV. I am a Millwright for for this job, I'm Installing one of the largest ball mills in the western hemisphere, It weighs about
18,000 tons with a wrap around electric motor spanning 75ft in diameter pushing about 100,000 hp. Im possiby going to have pics of some of the things out here like the 4600 Vicon ringer crane to make this pick and set the Mill into the bearings, It will hopefully land sometime around July. crushing mill there are only six of these mills in the world including this one. This mine should start up in January of 2006 and the first gold bar to be poored on June 6th 2006 at Midnight hopefully employing more than 90% of the Battle Mtn. residents I do like my job here although I have about 2-3 more yrs to go before I can possiby make General Forman. TIC has A great package for there people and I really wish that everyone could expierence the kind of work we do like power plants (Turbine Steamers) like the one at Tracy Clark outside of Reno as well as Steel Mills
in Southern CA. LA.
