Jexanne's Story

Life First questions have usually been: Where have you been? Well, after I left Everman High I went in the Army. Yeah, I was a WAC! Can you believe the 60's hippie I was that I joined the Army?! First I went to Fort McClellan and managed to get married. Great guy and we had 2 children. But it's a long story just to get to the 2 kids! We moved from Fort McClellan Alabama to Fort Bragg NC. There my first son Billy was born. From there we went to Fort Lewis Washington where my second son Tommy was born. Then on to Heilbronn Germany for 4 years. Then to Detroit Michigan for 3 years. To Fort Dix New Jersey for 3 years and then FINALLY back to Texas to Fort Bliss in El Paso. After 20 years we retired and came back to Fort Worth. He and I split and I met my current husband and he and I have been married and living in Arlington for 24 wonderful years. That's the "where". The second question is usually "what've you been doing?" .. Well, that's an even longer answer. So, just to keep it short, I've been a waitress at a Pizza Hut, then my own little ...Expand for more
stint in the Army, then I was a "stay-at-home" mom for 10 years. Went to college and became a nurse while in Michigan. Did that for a few years until I found I really got burned out. Too much Emergency Room work and way too much tragedy. Then I became a school bus driver, then worked selling aircraft and military spare parts for 18 years. Did a stint as a nurse and was actually my mom's hospice nurse for 3 years until she passed. Now? I'm a valet out at DFW airport and absolutely love it. It's just fun driving someone elses cars. I get to drive them but don't have to pay for them! LOL It's been a very varied career that I've had but it's been fun along the way! So, that pretty much takes care of the where and what. For the rest of it, you'll just have to ask me! Update 2011... I've now got 5 grandbabies!!! When I wrote this 5 years ago, I didn't have any grandbabies.. now they are coming out of the woodwork! I love it and I absolutely LOVE being a grandma! Update 2016... Still have 5 grandbabies!!! These have to be the best kids in the world!
