Life
Thank you for all the compliments and “remembers”! It’s nice to know I had a positive impact on a few people during the course of my life, especially when I was young and dumb. Lol.
In 2004, I lost my husband of 23 years to cancer; I still miss him terribly. My heart goes out to anyone dealing with this terrible disease and those supporting loved ones who are suffering. Your kind words and support will never be forgotten. Never take a loved one for granted, not for one moment!
I retired from my career as a School Department Administrator in December, 2017. I have two children; my beautiful daughter was married in Hawaii in 2011; my handsome son remains unmarried...sigh.
In 2018, I sold my home of 31 years in Northern California to relocate to Oregon. The only thing I miss in California is family! I live on a small, 6-acre ranch on the Oregon coast with my new husband, 8 sheep, and 3 Herding dogs. I have a large vegetable garden and copious wild blackberries. I especially enjoy canning and preserving our fruits, vegetables, and herbs in the Fall.

In 2022, my husband Rusty and I, purchased a class A motorhome and traveled cross-country for four months in the spring and summer. We were able to hit 16 states on our route and spent lots of time with friends and family in Ohio. We had a fantastic adventure and I'm pretty sure it will turn into an annual event. In 2023, we traveled for 3 months, and had an equally good time visiting my brother in Texas.
Travel has been my passion for many years. I've been blessed with the opportunity to tour Paris, London, Rome, Tuscany, Florence, Greece, and Venice, as well as many towns and attractions near those beautiful places. Rusty and I will be traveling to Scotland in 2024 for twenty-seven days to explore Inverness and my Celtic heritage. Rusty has never been to the UK, so we will be spending some time there visiting historic WWII sites and the usual touristy venues.
Speaking of friends...I’m still looking for Nancy Elkins-Sexton. If anybody knows where she is, I would be grateful if you would share her contact information with me or let her know I am looking for her!
