Jill's Story
Life
Where to begin... After H.S. Sandy Ison took me to the airport and I was off to Blair, NE for my first 2 years of college at a small Danish Lutheran school. Met a guy there and followed him to St. Louis, MO and finished school at So. Ill. Univ. at Edwardsville. Then we moved to Portland, OR and I lived there for 4 years. Then, my Mom and her husband invited me to move to Northern Virginia (DC area) to work in their business. I did and became a MBTI specialist. I also went to graduate school and got my MSW. I volunteered and eventually became a staff member at a Crisis phone service in VA and that is where I met my husband, Don. We got married 2 years later and his daughter and son ended up moving in with us until they graduated from H.S. In the meantime, we had 2 children of our own. After the youngest of Don's kids graduated we moved to Washington. We love it here!

he Dixie Chicks, and he tours all over the place. They recently, in March, went to Iraq to play for the troops. My sister, Kaaren, lives in L.A. and works for an advertising firm there. She has 1 daughter.
I now work as a Congregational Life Coordinator for our church and it is the best place I have ever worked. (I never imagined working for a church!) I am blessed with many good friends and am always busy with activities. My husband and I sing and play in our worship band and even passed an audition to compete in Seattle at the GospelFest in 2006. What a trip!
My kids are 8 and 10 now, so we have a ways to go in raising our family. We enjoy going to the WA coast, traveling to CA to see my Mom and sister, and enjoy camping in the summer (summers are great here!!)
I envision myself staying at the church for a while and eventually working my way back into the clinical social work field. I would like to hang a shingle at some point before I retire (in 15+ years.)
