Jill's Story
Although I moved away from Casper during the summer between sophomore and junior years, I still consider myself a member of the class of 69 at NCHS. Midland, TX became the location of my next two high schools. I traveled to Oregon State University and Baylor University before finally graduating from the University of Texas medical Branch in Galveston, TX. There I met and married my best friend, and had two daughters. The girls both became medical professionals. We spent their childhood in Dallas, TX. I worked for my husbands Urology practice and stayed busy, all the while wanting to be back up north and out of the big city.
During the late summers, the kids and I would have an extended Visit at one of my folk¿s retirement house in Birch Bay, WA. Hiking, campin...Expand for more
g, exploring, fishing and visiting with my sister Jody from Lynwood, WA. My brother Wade would join us from Houston, TX.
This traveling was punctuated by visits to the other house in Sun City, AZ. From There we managed to navigate the Colorado River with ASU geology dept for a week. As well as explore the State of AZ.
The marriage ended after 20 years and a few years after that, when the kids were out of the house. I moved to Bellingham WA to be closer to my family of origin and be in a much healthier place for me.
As for my life¿s schadenfreude, yes I have had my share. The most recent is a stroke followed 18 months later by epilepsy (brain damage after all). But I am good, just way too many pills and I am a little slow mentally, very fortunate physically!
