Jill's Story
Life
I am Jill Bikowski - Married since 1972. Retired from HUD after almost 33 years of service. Have 2 married sons - Craig (9/74) and Chris (12/81), grandsons - Chance (7/96) and Cal (12/11) and AJ born 7/13/2007. I have a grandaughter, Emily 11/5/01. Donny has retired for the second time and now works as a Loan Officer for a Mortgage Broker. We live on a golf course!
Workplace
I was a Senior Management Analyst (inside consultant type) with the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Since 1974, my entire government career was with HUD. I progressed nicely and am satisfied with my career when I retired in December of 2006. My strengths were in IT management and program evaluation. I enjoyed bringing computers into the work place in the 90's. I worked on the go...Expand for more
vernment-wide task force that brought the first Kiosks of government services to the public. I was working with the Enforcement Center (EC)since 1999 when I retired. They bring Public Housing up to code by pressing landlords to honor their commitments. My youngest son is also with HUD in the EC (different division). My oldest is in telecommunications with GSA. My husband retired from GSA and is now a Loan Officer with a mortgage broker. I retired in December of 2006 to take care of my elderly Mother and my In laws. I love to "wallow" in grandchildren! Both my father and my brother have passed away. I am active in church singing, directing the Youth choir and playing handbells. I hope to reminisce and reconnect with old friends. I treasure the friendships I made in my school days.
