Jill's Story

Life My kids are my life. My husband and I always talk about how we need to get hobbies, but who has time when you have 2 small children?! My kids are Layla 3 and Riley 1. My daughter Layla is the smartest kid I've ever met. I'm biast, I admit it, but she really is bright. My son is the happiest, sweetest little monster. He is the busiest little 1 year old I've ever seen. He goes non-stop all day long. My husband Floyd and I have been together for 6 years, married for 5 of them. He just recently got out of the army, the last year of which he was stationed over seas in Korea. Thank God it wasn't Iraq. In the 7 years he served, we never had to worry about him fighting over there. He was just lucky ...Expand for more
to never be in one of the units that was being deployed. He is now a weekend warrior serving in the National Gaurd for 1 year. My family is now having to adjust to being together all the time. I guess I shouldn't really say "adjust" since it was so easy to do, but the fact is that my husband and I have been together for maybe half of our relationship due to his military service, so now we get to find out what life is like outside of the army. I had been going to school to get my cosmetology license, but after Floyd came home I took a break for a few different reasons. I will be going back to school in the spring, I hope. Eventually I will go back to college and finish up my Bachelors in Business.
