Life
After I graduated from HS, my parents moved to Sacramento so off I went leaving all my friends behind. I married my first husband and we ended up in Anchorage Alaska. Had a baby, got divorced and remarried 4 years later and stayed there until 1985. We moved to Silverdale WA which is right across the sound from Seattle. Pretty Rural so about a year ago we sold our house and moved to Tacoma. A bit bigger but never San Diego. Of course we were downsizing so along with four other empty nesters on our street, we have this huge house. Just couldn't get rid of any stuff. Love it here but make a pilgrimage to SD at least once a year to celebrate with my Diva classmates. dding. Three years ago, he and his wife decided they were going to adopt rather than have babies like everyone else which was fine with us - low and behold they adopted twin boys from the state of Georgia. They're as cute as buttons and at five are so active we feel the need to collapse after a weekend at grandma's house. Both of us are now retired and are enjoying as much travel as we can afford. Along with travel, am trying to volunteer to give something back. One organization is a group who sponsor a low cost spay and neuter clinic which is a cause dear to my heart. The other volunteer opportunity is at the Point Defiance Zoo here in Tacoma. It's a small zoo but have learned so much about conservation and getting up close and personal with the animals. I sound like Marlin Perkins. Life is as good as I hoped it would be at graduation.
