Jim's Story
After HS I attended SJCC and SJSU until the DOD came knocking. Joined the Navy in 1968 because of their computer program. Got married to Lillie Daems (class of 66) before going to bootcamp in San Diego. My son was born on Christmas eve 1969.
I made 4 WestPac deployments in the Navy and visited the Philippines, Hong Kong, Japan, Taiwan, Singapore, Sri Lanka, British Indian Ocean Territory Diego Garcia, Mauritius, Somalia, Pakistan and Australia.
Civilian life has taken me to England, France, Germany, Denmark, Austria, Italy, Egypt. Fu...Expand for more

I retired from the Navy in 1988 In San Diego and began a second career as a Software Quality Assurance Engineer. Retired from that in 2013.
My wife Lil retired from Human Resources at 56.
My son is a Network Admin, and his wife is a computer programmer. We have one grandson who lives close enough that we pick him up from school.
Looking to volunteer on the USS Midway berthed here in San Diego bay. I love to be outside, gardening, hiking, body surfing, snorkeling, and learning to sail.
