Jim's Story

I've been married to Nancy for over 35 years who is a retired SW Bell executive and we have three grown children and 5 grand children. I am a Vice President at Marshall Career Servicw, where I've been a personel consultant/recruiter (I hate the term 'headhunter) for the past twenty years specializing in accounting and finance positions at the CFO and Controller level. I place positions within the DFW metroplex, only. I 've been sucessful enough at it that I routinely win the Top Recruiter award in my profession for the metroplex and I am recognized on a national basis as a member of the Pinnacle Society for over 10 years. My main hobby is song writing and I have written published well over 100 songs with my music partner Bryan Freeze under the name Dr. Wu'.I have my own recording studio that is decorated with one of the best Beatle and rock n' roll memrobilla collections along with 52 guitars, mostly collections from the 60s. Call me and I'll have you over for a PERSONAL TOUR. Over 30 of our songs were written for the nationally recognized motivation and leadership training organization EMPOWERU and are used through out all of the training programs to anchor the participation and graduation of their powerful training modules. I am most proud of our blues CD we released that was nominated in 2008 ffor GRAMMY's in three catagories...Best New Blues Group, Best Blues Album and Bes...Expand for more
t Self Produced. Alas, we made only made it to the final 15 (there were several 100 nominees in each catagory) but our CD is still played on over 200 stations and we enjoy a huge following overseas. You've probably heard "Jacksboro Highway" as it is frequently played on several local stations. We used 21 guest artist who grew up in the Fort Worth area in the 60s including Stephen Bruton before he passed away. We are generally described as having a Stevie Ray Vaughn sound, and you can listen to the CD titled Texas Blues Project - Volume1 on any of the internet outlets like ITunes, our distributor CD Baby, or just google texasblues.org. Our MYSPACE sight is a hoot, also. We have 11 song finished (one song left) for our upcoming 2nd album. Since we think it's even better than Volume 1, wish us luck with the 2010 GRAMMYs and watch for an announcement on our CD release party like to be at the Dallas House of Blues in a few months! Yes, I was writiing songs back in high school and No, nobody knew it. We appreciate your support. 2012 Update We released Dr. Wu' Texas Blues Project Vol 2 In Oct 2010. The CD features local blues guitar legends like Mace Maben, Dave Milsap and Buddy WhittingtonBoth Cds are selling well and you can learn more by going to our distributor CDBaby. We recently recorded a life set of 15 songs from these two CDs for an upcoming DVD/CD new pictures attached
