Jim's Story
After graduating high school I went into the United States Coast Guard. My first duty was on the Coast Guard Cutter Chase out of Boston, MA. I was a deckhand and learned much about painting and "swabbing the decks." I was there for about a year and then went to Radarman School in NY city. I was then station on the Coast Guard Cutter Campell out of Port Angeles, WA. I was their until my enlistment was up in 1979.
I stayed in Port Angeles and attended Peninsula Community College where I received my AA degree. While there, I met a beautiful young woman to whom I married in 1981. We have two fine young men for sons.
While at PCC, I discovered that the party life had begun to loose its luster. Through my future wife, I was exposed to the gospel of Jesus Christ. All I can say is that Christ got a hold of my life and now it is my desire and pleasure to live for Him.

, we attended Central Washington University where I received a BS in Mathematics. Upon graduation in 1983, my wife and I went to work with Campus Crusade for Christ, a Christian ministry that mainly focuses on college students. We served the ministry at Boise State University for six years. I then attended seminary in Portland, OR where I received the Master of Divinity and a Master of Theology degrees.
A couple of years after graduating seminary (1993), we left Campus Crusade to pursue the pastorate. I became the pastor of a small church in rural WA for several years. I took a break from ministry and was a Mathematics teacher at a Christian High School in CA. Two years ago, we moved to Fremont, NE where we currently live. I am the senior pastor of Fremeont Evangelical Free Church (do a Google search to find our church's website.)
