James's Story
I have lived an eclectic life since RHS. I entered the Air Force in July, 1963 and was assigned to Europe, the Mid East and South East Asia. I flew 120+ combat support missions over north and south Vietnam and was awarded The Air Medal and The Distinguished Flying Cross in 1967. I lived three years in England and six years in Phoenix, Az - graduating from Arizona State University. I was married and have three children (all now college graduates). My wife and I attended 21 consecutive NASCAR Daytona 500 races. From 2000 to 2005 we maintained four homes (Apollo Beach, FL, Daytona Beach, Fl, Chattanooga...Expand for more
, Tn and Nice, France). During these years we took 11 extended vacations to Europe. In 2003 I retired from Verizon Data Services as a Senior Software Engineer after 27 years. In 2006 my name was added to the DFC Panel at the Smithsonian Institution's National Air and Space Museum - National Aviation and Space Exploration Wall of Honor at the Steven F. Udvar- Hazy Center in Washington DC. My wife passed away in 2008 after an extended bout with cancer. I currently a reside in Cartagena and Barranquilla, Colombia with my current wife and our two young children. I wish you all good health and a long life.
