Jim's Story

Life Jim Callery is the Sales Manager and Top Sales Agent at the Bear Canyon office of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Tucson, Arizona. In addition to serving his own multi-million dollar portfolio of clientele, Jim oversees the sales production of 51 Associate Brokers and Agents. As a young leader, Jim received the Navy Achievement Medal in 1972 for “revitalizing a failing work center”, while serving aboard the USS Kitty Hawk off the coast of Vietnam. After being Honorably Discharged in 1973, Jim attended Elgin Community College where he received an Associate of Arts degree. Jim began his business career as a retail store manager at Recreation Sports in Colorado, developing the retail soft goods department. Two years later he accepted a position as a Teller Supervisor for Vail National Bank in Vail, Colorado where he developed a commercial and special services department which reduced lobby time for business clients. In 1980 Jim began his real estate career as a Customer Services Representative at The Managers, Inc., a vacation rental company in Summit County, Colorado. Moving into real estate sales with Century 21 in Frisco, Colorado, he soon became the Top Sales Agent and Branch Manager. His wife’s health prompted a move to Arizona in September of 2001 where Jim began the challenge of recreating his business plan in the highly competitive marketplace of 6,700 Tucson Realtors. Within 2 years, Jim repeated his sales success and became the top selling agent in his office. He was then asked to join the management team as the office sales manager.
