Jim's Story

I graduated from Hilltop High a year early and moved to Washington state. I graduated from the University of Washington (Go Huskies!), found I wasn't ready to quit school and returned to law school. I started with Pan Am while in law school which really got me hooked on traveling. I eventually moved to Portland, Oregon and then Vancouver, Washington, (across the river from Portland) and have been here ever since. I met a British woman while traveling and eventually she moved here. We were married and now have a son starting junior high. He is hooked on soccer, so I've been spent a lot of time at field either playing, coaching or watching him and his team (they w...Expand for more
on the state cup three years ago and semi-finals the last two years!) We've been doing a lot of traveling and have made it to most of the European countries and some in the south pacific. Unfortunately, I've forgotten most of my Spanish, but really could have used it last year when I forgot how to order a meal or even something to drink. It would have been so much easier If I had just rememebered something I supposedly learned in school. Portland's a great place to live. We tell everyone the weather is bad, but that's just to discourage others from moving here. Skiing in the winter, and boating in the summer is the norm. It's also a good place to bicycle and jog.
