Jim's Story
I am Jim Donlin from 151 S. Dunlap on the Westside of Youngstown.
I attended St. Brendans' for 8 years and went to Ursuline Highschool. I am happy to say I was in the 1965 Graduating Class from Ursuline.
I have two older brothers and two younger sisters, and to me family is first. They all graduated from Ursuline. My brother Pat graduated in the 1962 Class, my brother Ed graduated in 1964, my sister Mary graduated in 1969 and my little sister Kathleen graduated from Ursuline in 1971.
I wasn't very good, but I played Football in Gradeschool, Highschool and a year in College. I thought it was a great thing to be able to hit people and not get yelled at.
I graduated from YSU...YU when I started college. I graduated in 1970. I was on the 4.5 year plan...Expand for more
.
When I was 26 I had 7 back surgeries and could not work for four years. When I was semi-healthy again, I worked 29 years at the Agency on Aging.
I retired in 2007 on disability after having a liver transplant.
I have a daughter who is a Michigan Grad, and her husband is also. I have a feeling that my three grandkids will be Michigan Grads also....and me a Notre Dame fanatic, and an Ohio State fan. They live just south of Ann Arbor, Michigan.
I swim and workout at the Boardman YMCA, I paint pictures with acrylics for fun, and try to golf once a week in warm weather, with not as much success....and not as much fun.
I have been married to my wife Janice Marie for 22 blissful years...she told me to say that...and we live in Boardman.
