Jim's Story
Life
Since graduation I spent 3 yrs. in Marines, most in Vietnam, worked for cities and consultants in civil and traffic engineering. Now Associate Engineer at City of Rancho Cucamonga, CA. Married to Marolyn from Minnesota and have one son Christopher, age 29 and still at home but going to school and supporting himself. In 1999 I built a bridge in Kenya with 7 from my church in 11 days. Went back in 2000 & built a waterline, 2 greenhouses, 120 school desks and a dormitory. Went 3rd time in...Expand for more

Workplace
I am responsible for the design, construction, maintenance and timing of traffic signals and systems in the City of Rancho Cucamonga. Looking to retire soon.
Military
Was surveyor and draftsman in the Marine Corps. Spent from 1/67 to 9/68 in Vietnam with engineer and military police battalions at Chu Lai, Danang and Dong Ha. Spent last 6 months at Camp Pendleton at the Training Aids Library.
