Jim's Story
Hard to believe it has been 8 years since I have last updated my profile⦠Grand Baby number 5 is now 8 years old and has developed into a real character. All of them are doing so well in school. We now have 2 as freshman in high school. Since grand baby # 5, we have had a 6th one join the family.. another girl.. so the latest stats are Boys â 1, Girls 5. However, our son has since married and now has a step-daughter, 18 years old. So the âcurrent final statsâ are Boys â 1, Girls â 6.
I got tired of all my travel and left that job after 15 years⦠so now it is just a commute down the freeway to Newport Beach every day. Have been here for 3 years already. I keep telling myself that the drive on the 55 is still better than sitting on an airplane hours on end⦠so far that is working ï

I do, keeping regular office hours is becoming a real pain. I will probably do some independent consulting for a while to keep busy, but that will be a âpick and chooseâ situation.
We just attended my wifeâs 50th class reunion (hard to believe). This will probably be the last for her school⦠the attendance is tapering off quite a bit. Since both of us are strongly tied to our high school in Massachusetts, we did make a trip back there and met some friends again. Neither of us graduated from that school, but we are very connected to it still. I graduated from San Rafael HS, but was there less than a year. Such is the life of a military kid. There is good and bad about that. A lot of my friends at SRHS were also there less than a year.
We have retouched the lives of some âoldâ friends and that is always such a joy to do. It is so difficult to catch up on 50 years, or so, in an eveningâs conversation.
Health wise things are pretty good. Some situations just cannot be controlled, but we have made some changes and have retaken control on some issues.
