Jim's Story
I'm finally living the life I've always dreamed of. I'm now located in Ajijic, Jalisco, Mexico with my partner of the past 25 years. I am one of the really lucky pre-baby boomers. After spending 28 years in Albuquerque television broadcasting following graduation from HHS, I moved to Pismo Beach, California and purchased a nice ocean-front home. st vacation three years ago, I found the perfect village and the perfect home. We moved immediately, about a year before the real estate bust in the U-S.
With our home situated on a hill, overlooking Lake Chapala,the country's largest fresh-water latke, I now spend most of my time involved in volunteer work as a board member for the Mexican National Chili Cook-Off, an annual event in Ajijic, and with kiva.org which makes no-interest loans available to people living in third world countries and want to improve their lives.
