Jim's Story

Hi Everyone (11 June 2008 - I'm a new member)!!! Here's the condensed version of what I have been doing since graduating from WHS in 1975: I spent one semester at Northeastern University during 1975, and realized I wasn't ready for college - so I took the easy route and joined the Army. I then spent the next 28 years serving my country as a Counterintelligence Officer for the US Military, and retired from government service in 2004. During my 28 years of service I had the opportunity to spend 10 years living overseas, learned Russian, and traveled the world extensively. I spent most of my overseas time in Europe, but also spent time in Eastern Europe/Former Soviet Union, the Middle East, Southwest Asia, and Central America. The entire experience was great, and I wouldn't replace it for anything... When I retired I moved to Palm Beach, FL and formed my own company, Military Language Services, LLC, milvoice. com, which provides foreign language services, and conducts voice-related biometrics research and devel...Expand for more
opment. I am also the Executive Director for a company called NITV, which is also involved in voice technologies for law enforcement and the military (nitv1. com). I am still doing a lot of work with the US military - especially the Special Operations and Intelligence Forces. It keeps me young! I now live in Palm Beach, FL with my girlfriend Olga, who I met in 2005 after moving to Florida. She is originally from Ukraine and has lived in the US since 1995. For any of you who know me well, you may recall I had two younger brothers -Stephen and David. My brother Stephen passed away unexpectedly in 2005, and my brother David is now living in Baltimore, where he and his girlfriend own a small Italian restaurant. I think we were all lucky to grow up where and when we did. The 70's was a special time, and we had the best music ever.
