Jim's Story
I'm still young at heart but unwilling to jump out of a perfectly good airplane. Great at starting projects and getting better at finishing them.
I support my eating and shelter habits by behaving like a freelance writer ... it appears to be working as I haven't had a real job in nearly 5 years ... not
content with the life of leisure this provides me, I'm going to nursing school because 1) people are considerate enough to continue becoming ill thus ameliorating the odds against layoffs 2) demand for men is high ... apparently hospitals need us to move heavy objects too and 3) though I dislike people in general (as in rush hour and holiday shopping) persons are an all together different encounter.
I'm feeling kind of lazy at the moment so I'm going to answer the story prompts this site provides:
What about you would surprise everyone at your high school reunion? I still have all my hair and I look like I'm 40, or so I'm told.
Which teacher would I love to see? Not sure I'd "love" to see any of my former teachers, maybe Mrs Marksz ...Expand for more
...
What's the wildest thing you ever did in school? I'm not going to admit to anything here.
What happened to your first crush? That was in kindergarten ... then I changed schools, love can be so fickle.
How do you hope old friends remember you? Without prompting.
To be truly happy, you would be where, doing what, with whom? On Gilligan's Island, naked, slathered in coconut cream pie chasing MaryAnne in the hope of making Ginger jealous ... that may be odd but trust me, it's healthier than my designs for Betty and Wilma.
Life doesn't always turn out the way you expect. What¿s been your biggest surprise? I'm not on Gilligan's Island ... or maybe that I'm in the midst of yet another career change ... tough call.
You get one do-over. What do you do differently? I would be taller.
What¿s the weirdest job you ever had? Most likely my time spent as a roadie ... though I can't convincingly argue that "that" was really a job.
Where have you lived? Why did you move? I've been a greater Cleveland lifer ... must be the weather.
