Jim's Story

Jim is from Marblehead, Massachusetts. Jim's schools include Wakefield Memorial High School. Jim later graduated from Harvard University (English). He also attended Boston University School of Public Communications. He ran an advertising agency and an exhibit and museum design company before going into publishing. He worked as publisher at another book publishing company before opening his own publishing house, Grey Swan Press. Jim's interests include art and photography, collecting rare books and photographica, and design. More about Jim:"I wanted to write "Th...Expand for more
e Great American Novel," but, alas, I found that I'm only a second class writer. Truman Capote once said, "Go first class or third class. Never second class." So, I've become an excellent editor of the words written by first class writers. And as a book designer, I've been told that I am pretty good. So, I faced the truth of my shortcomings, and am extremely happy doing something that I am good at." I am also a consultant to a literary publicity company, Kelley & Hall Book Publicity, run by my wife, Gloria, my two daughters, Jocelyn and Megan, and my son, Connor.
