Jim's Story
Briefly, its been quite a ride.
1968 thru 1971 served as an aviation electronics techniciian in the Marine Corps (yes, two tours in Vietnam)
BA in accounting from Paterson State 1976
MBA in Accounting from Fairleigh Dickinson University (Madison) in '86
My finance career afforded me the opportunity to travel extensively for various assignments Europe, Asia, and most places in the US. Firms I have been associated with were GAF, Pfizer, and a couple of smaller companies.
Married in 1977 and divorced in 1993.
Moved to San Diego and married Dawn in 1996 and have...Expand for more
been together ever since.
Its interesting how passions you may have can morph into a business or a career. And its really good when you can do both.
Started flying in the mid 90's and in 2005 began providing flight instruction. I have flown as a corporate pilot, but enjoy nights at home, so now I split my time between the office and the cockpit
I am presently CFO of King Schools, a flight training firm, and still provide independent flight instruction to wide array of clients.
I am not too sure I will ever retire, but 3 days of work a week sure sounds good.
