Jim's Story
Life
Where to start, after leaving Culver Hi, I went to work in a machine shop. Stopped by school to visit with Mr. Crutchfield several times about work. He kept pushing me to get out of the production side of machining and into the research & development area. With a little extra schooling at S.M.C.C., just a few classes and a couple breaks it happened. For most of my 35 plus years of working at different companies, thats where I've been. For the last 20 years, I've been with The Boeing Co. in the Seattle area. Looks like I'll remain there until next summer, at which time I plan to retire. Never a day goes by that I don't think of fishing as always. I'm still into drag racing. Building one last fast car to be my primary driver in retirement. Its a 1957 Ford 2 dr. Ranchwagon. The motor is a 312 c.i.d. Ford Thunderbird Special V-8, with all todays technology in it. the marina. With the remainder of the time being spent in the Seattle area and anywhere else around the country or Canada that looks interesting, keeping fishing in mind first and foremost. Thats about it, so anyone who has he time, drop a line & say Hi, tyhe best to all, Jim
Udate: Times & plans change alot! To start off with, I took an early out option at work. I retired at 58 1/2 years old. Mazatlan ended up a bust. Too much drug problems for us. WE got most all our money out of the marina there & consider ourselves very lucky.
Bull Shoals, Ar. is our new regular home. Itis a small, small (2,000 pop.) town. WE live 5 minutes away from a 75 mile long CHRYSTAL clear lake. Yes, loaded with bass, catfish, walleye, crappie, rainbow trout, bluegill, etc.
5 mnutes south of us is the White River, considered the number 1 trout stream in the whole country. Largest Brown trout record is over 39 lbs., also has rainbow, brook, cut throat trout. Okay, thats it ,bye to all, Jim Main class of '62
