Jim's Story
June 10, 2009 and I am doing well. Finished my 31st year of teaching and coaching and feel great. I had another great year. My students were awesome and we had a great time together. I taught 3 classes of AP U.S. History and 2 classes of AP European History classes. And don't forget, the Head Wrestling Coach hence the name "The Wrestling Historian". I am 56 and at that age most people are thinking about retirement. Not me. I can't see myself retiring unless I won the lottery and my kids and their spouses all retired with me and we played golf everyday. My kids; Leslie - 31 doing extremely well in Dallas with her husband Kris who I got started into teaching and is doing a great job. Brian - 30 recently married to Jenny and also doing well in Dallas. All 6 of us, The Wrestling Historian (me), Brenda, my wife, Leslie, Kris, Brian and Jenny going on a little 7 day cruise in the western Caribbean together in about 10 days. will go to Jamaica, the Caymans and Cozumel. I think I am going to write a book this summer and see how that goes. I will also play a lot of golf, tutor some youngsters who have a state test in July, work out everyday and play with my malemute doggie, Maya. I got her 2 summers ago on father's day. My wife and kids got Maya for me and she is just the best dog in the whole world. I have already decided that next year will be my best year for teaching and coaching. If I was to do something else with my life it would probably be to go to Washington D.C. and knock some sense into our government representatives and get them working to make things better for people here in the U.S. of A. Democrats, Republicans, it doesn't matter. I just need to pound some sense into a lot of them. And don't kid yourself, I am 56, but I am still a Bad Man.
