I left Monticello after graduation and did not return. Most of my fellow alums had spent their lives there. I was never able to develop roots. I decided to leave , largely because my family was in turmoil. I tried to create a life for myself, on the other side of the state. Although I can not possibly fill you in, I will say this. I am deeply indebted to more than a few of you. Thank you to Gary Z. ( I refuse to butcher the spelling of your last name.) You got me the job .that filled my sneaker with enough cash to get me through my first 2 semesters at SUNY Fredonia. God bless you . I miss so many of you for different reasons .Arthur H. You were the student that I thought I could be, if I had a chance. Unfortunately, I barely made it through. I worked full time and went to school full time.
