Jim's Story
Life
After graduation, I got married in 1979 to the girl I dated during high school, got my degree in Respiratory Care, and worked in a hospital setting for 15 years. My wife Sandy got her degree in Nursing at the same time and we worked at the same hospital in Florence.
I decided to go back to school, completing a Masters Degree in Physician Assistant Studies in 1996. I went to work in a Family Practice office located in Florence.

hed Medical School at Virginia Tech and started a Primary Care residency near Ashland Kentucky. She decided to remain in the Ashland area, so my wife and I relocated to Ashland where I went to work in a Family Practice office. My wife retired from nursing to help with our grand-daughter's care.
Kristie now is the Medical Director at the local hospice center in Ashland, and I am still working in Family Medicine in Ashland. Our grand-daughter is now, (2019) 10 years old.
