College
Two years at New Mexico Military Institute to do ROTC and stay out until after Henry Kissinger said " Peace is At Hand" Bill Clinton signed our ROTC Contracts on the same day. I became a 2nd Lt. and he went to Moscow and became a Socialist. Missed the war. Worthless Associate of Arts.
On and off ( including vacations from the Dean ) at UT til Dec. 76. Finally graduated with BBA. If I take Spanish I get another in History. Not likely.
Met a freshman law student in the fall of 76 ( Rhonda Colbert, Marshal '71 ) ,picked her courses, tought her to never go to class unprepared and reminded her that she probably wasn't the smartest kid in the class any more. Built what has become a high powered electric utility lawyer. One son, James Michael III, 17. ( Good kid. Not near the problem I probably was for my parents. ) He only wrecks a car occasionally. Damn good salesman for 15 yrs. Did the house hubby/ t-ball coach ( 20-0) / maid bit for 16 years.
He drives and she figured she could hire a maid and I'm redundant and, shall we say, outside of her current needs parameters. Twenty...Expand for more
eight years. Put my son in a good position to start in the world. Well, we didn't have much in common, anyway. And after my old man was murdered ( State of Texas caught and exicuted the bad guy and the accompliss got two life terms ) beer got to be regular rather than recreational, so I was doing my part to mess things upShe, as all women, was perfect in every way.I did the rehab school but it appears to have been too late. Seperated, probably be single. No yelling or lawyers so far, but that will come. Guess I can wait a while for that.
Now trying to get acting gigs and do on-air radio. What I wanted to do while at AHHS. The Old Man wouldn't hear of it. Times change.
Well, friends and neighbors, boys and girls, cats and jammers, dudes and dudettes; I have bored and depressed you enough for one sitting, I tire of all this Me, Me, Me; as have all of you that are still awake and not suicidal as a result of my ramblings. But facts is facts. (apologies to good old Miss Cox).
