Jim's Story
Following high school I worked for a while in the construction trades industry. It didn't take long to realize that a good education would enable me to advance my career
After about six years of working full time at Oak Ridge's Y-12 Facility and going to college I obtained a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Tennessee.
Following college, I went to work for the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA), in downtown Knoxville.

Pulp & Paper Plants, Automobile and Truck Manufacturing Facilities, Heavy Industrial Facilities, and Commerical Projects.
Along with having a Professional Engineer's License I hold licenses in Real Estate and Contracting. I have built several houses and been involved in the development of large residential and construction projects.
Currently I work in Oak Ridge for a large Engineering Firm, Jacobs Engineering, where I manage the Mechanical Department for the Firm.
Through the years I have developed a lot of friends but don't see them very often. I very much enjoy seeing old friends and classmates and talking about high school and our youth.
