Jim's Story

2016 Carotid artery cleaned out Open heart surgery, 5 bypasses 10 day cruise St Kitts, St Thomas Kidney stinted Classic 1987 300zx totaled out by texting woman, broken r/knee Metal rod repaired in left tripod, oral surgery Aortic valve repaired Somewhere in there purchased factory fresh performance 350z gunmetal gray/blk leather 2017 5 day cruise for my birthday Given Ok by my fleet of doctors to slalom ski Putting together Western Caribbean trip for early 2018 Life goes on 2018 Beaches of Grand Cayman. Mahogany Bay, Cozumel, zip lining the rain forest of Belize So the significant other says Lake Keowee is great but she would like to be standing in waist deep water seeing her toes and holding a margarita...yup meeting up with friends in Florida for several days then off again to the Caribbean for a week. End of a great summer on the lake, boat tucked away stored for "winter". December scheduled check over this far out from 5 bypasses ect on the 6th found 90%+ blockage in right Carotid. Felt great no symptoms. Off to surgery. That went well, just yet another scar. December 20th finally got to use our Bob Seger tickets from last years postponed concert. Fantastic, sold out, 20,000 of us standing dancing ect, majority of time, 3 encores. From the 70's to today and beyond no one better. Merry Christmas and let's have a great 2019. 2020 2020... 2019 flew by. Did some travelling went to Grand Bahamas Hilton, did 'Catholic Tour' (St. Thomas, St Johns and St Maarten). Four of our very favorite places by far. Spent summer as usual on Lake Keowee. Like I mentioned year flew by. All was not good as a very great/old friend of mine, Terry Fitzgerald, had a horrific stroke that he thankfully survived but has a very difficult road ahead of him. Feel sure anyone that reads this will know/remember Terry. 2020 Mother Nature forgot to drop off winter here so far this year, just fine with me. Looking forward to Summer and more great times at lake with the kids and grandgirls. Planning trip to Bermuda. October 8th 2020 somewhere around 4:30am. Text from Brian. Terry had died. What a battle he had put up. What a life more than well lived. What unforgettable, most times unbelievable, memories. I thank him for them all. 2021 Been very busy/active. Left Greenville County EMS. in 2020. Fed up, sick and tired of county government and "political correctness". After 6 months of doing nothing I decided I had to to something. Being 70 I found work in the logistics area but always full time. Part time is all I was interested in. Made finding something worthwhile difficult. Saw a job that interested me and I was certainly qualified for but a little too old. for. Applied for the job. ZOOM interview, written test, interview, oral test, interview, driving test, interview. Am now employed 3 days a week as a test driver for Michelin Tire Company. Their North American Headquarters are here in Greenville. Drive everything from 7 speed manual Porsches to 350 4x4 pickups. Michelin also has a test track here as well as a professional performance driving school. Needless to say I love it, Have all 4 of my grandgirls as far from public schools as possible. Hoping for them to receive an education rather than an indoctrination. Away from Black Lives Matter to All Lives Matter. just one problem of hundreds the public system "teaches". From all our cruises being cancelled starting in February Bev and I have 3 cruises to look forward to. The fun of it all plus almost $2000.00 on board credit should make for some interesting times. Bev will be leaving this morning for Murrells Inlet, she is ...Expand for more
taking her niece and nephew for the week. I'd rather stay here and enjoy the lake and boat... some things never change. Dave Williams...a guy I always thought a lot of. Anyone that can contact Dave please give him my h2o53skiataol.com if he'd like to catch up. Thanks. 2022 Weather has lost it's mind. Within the last several weeks we've had Low 70s some 60s n 50's, bunches of 50 to 60 days are pretty normal for this time of year here. Last couple of days high 40s the best we can do during the day and good grief mid 20s at night. Almost forgot the 7+ inches of snow we got also. . . gee guess Global Warming maybe? Going to try cruising again in 2 weeks. Plenty of hoops to jump thru to get on board but am tired of liberals telling me what I can and can't do. Thankfully I live in a state that believes in the individual to know what is best for him or her. Anyway hope to be laying in the sun at the Royal Bahama Hilton. Then off to Bimini to explore it with a golf cart as we have never been there before. If all goes well we have 2 other cruises we haven't been able to take that we sure will this year. Mid November? Wow where in the heck did the year go! Had a great time in Bimini. Rent a golf cart and spend a day at Radio Beach. Tell Coconut Brian Bev and I said Hi. Plenty of great times on the lake. My four girls are doing well. Horses, softball, karate... the two oldest are about to be 13 soon. Dunno if PopBoy is ready for that. Korean Karate World Championships were this summer, 36 countries competed. Raegan 12 was seeded last. Won the technical portion. With a round house in the final match her opponent could not continue...Raegan is World Champion Womens Green Belt. Very amazed/proud of her as I am of all my girls. Things kinda slowed down a bit toward the end of summer so I took some time to have some spots on my face and nose looked at. Skin cancer. Mohs surgery. No fun. Be a good while for nose to straighten out/fill in. Still looking for adventure. After 18 or 19 years living together Bev and I decided to get married. Worked out well as we then cruised to Bermuda for three days. Still test driving for Michelin. Piled up 45,000 miles so far. 2022 Merry Christmas hope everyone enjoyed the day. Coming up New Years Day 2023. How in the hell did this happen? 2023 How did it get to be JULY?! Feel like I've been riding 2nd seat behind Chuck Yeager. All is well here in wonderful South Carolina. Been cruising, test driving, the lake ect... Do have one complaint. Being liberal is one thing, and believe me that's more than enough. But going total woke with that "governor" oh you remember shut everything down/stay home ect Then she has her husband trying to get their boat out in TC, then she gathers up a bunch of her buddies and gets caught in Windsor having a party. yup she's great. now I understand if you address one of those drag queens incorrectly or hurt their feelings you can get fined and or go to prison. Your governor and legislature...gee guess how they got in office. Par for the course as the leader of that group doesn't know where he is let alone where/how his own son died. Keep voting the way you have been and in a couple years the whole state will be an extension of flint or detroit. Just sain'. If you decide to move South stop in Asheville NC, San Fransisco of the South. You'll be right at home. Please wake up. Michigan is too great a place to destroy.
