Jim's Story
Let's see, I left Pueblo in the spring of 1980 and moved to Vancouver, British Columbia Canada. I had re-gained my Canadian citizenship and felt that there really wasn't much left for me in Pueblo. You might remember that at that time the meat packing plant had closed and the CF&I had down-sized considerably. OK, I wasn't exactly angling for jobs at those places ( I worked at the Sound Warehouse at the time) but economically, it was pretty dire.
Once in Canada, I somehow ended up working in television. I have been employed by the same company for 25 years now. My free...Expand for more
lance work took me to the Democratic Republic of Congo 2 years ago. Remember, the more a country touts Democratic and Republic as part of it's official name, the less democratic it really is.
You know most men for their mid-life crisis, buy a sports car, ditch the wife and get a younger girlfriend. For my mid-life crisis I got rid of my Mazda RX-7 (red, natch), ditched the single life and married a beautiful, vivacious blonde with 3 built-in kids.
We live a blessed and wonderful life here in Vancouver. I look forward to connecting to friends remembered and forgotten
