Jim's Story
After all of the problems I had in high school with teachers, I thought I would get even and marry a teacher, the joke was on me and after 41 years we are still together and I'm still in trouble with the teacher. I don't know how she does it. After returning to Florissant in 1969 after four years in the Marine Corp, with a tour in Viet Nam and a tour in Cuba. I became a letter carrier with the Florissant Post Office for several years and then transfer to the Dept of Army as a civilian. a Warrant Officer One. In 1995 I retired from the Army with over 28 years of total service as a Warrant Officer Four. I went back to work for the government after 9/11 with the Department of Homeland Security. I retired again in in 2010 from the government. We have stayed in the Atlanta area after I retired, mainly because of Debby's (wife) job with the IRS. We are both hoping for her to retire in 2013. The only family left in the St. Louis area are cousins and my wife's family. My brother Joe and his family live in Brussels, so it looks as if retirement holds some travel.
