Jim's Story
After high school, where I was bullied almost every day during the school year by people most of whom are now rightfully in prison, I attended and graduated from college with a degree in Electronics Engineering. I had an undiagnosed physical problem back then that resulted in very little muscle mass and almost continuous depression. That has all changed drastically since I got that resolved! I am not the skinny little runt of a kid you used to know. Many of you were very cruel at the time. That has been forgiven but in no way forgotten.
I met a girl in college at a frat party of all places and got married in 1986 after graduating from UA in Akron then moved to central Florida to get away from Ohio's dreary weather. We traveled a lot and I eventually got involved in an IT career working on the space shuttle project at Kennedy Space Center as a data communications engineer. I am now a very expensive senior IT professional as an Infrastructure Management Analyst and VMWare Engineer.

living in Mt Vernon, I grew to have a certain disdain for the christian church for various reasons that I won't get into here. Got kicked out of the church for rightly calling the pastor a hypocrite. I compare living in Mt Vernon then to living in Elmore City, Oklahoma (Footloose 1984). After living in central Florida for 16+ years, we moved to Colorado. Still no shortage of sunshine and a mostly dry high desert climate.
I always loved nature and I found a different spiritual path that fits my world view perfectly. Aside from my day job, I am now also a spiritual teacher, Wiccan practitioner, male Witch, gifted psychic, ordained minister, anti-bullying activist, environmental activist and published author. Thanks Mrs Daniels for helping build my skills in English class for that last one. :)
I am in touch only with one awesome lifelong friend from MVHS. I can think of maybe one or two more of you I wouldn't mind hearing from that seem to have disappeared into the woodwork so to speak.
