Jim's Story
I graduated in 1963 and my parents bought me an orange & white 1955 Oldsmobile Starfire Convertible. The family moved to Amarillo and I attended West Texas State University (now West Texas A&M.) I worked at KGNC-TV, the NBC affiliate in Amarillo for 3 years while attending school. I moved to Dallas in 1968 and spent the next 30 years in Telecom and IT. owntown Dallas selling Men's Suits and becoming one of the top salesmen in the chain. I moved to my present location (Gun Barrel City, TX) in 2006 to assist my parents who had moved there in 2000. Dad died December 2009 at 88 and I am taking care of my mother (now 94) and enabling her to stay in her house by spending most of my time there. I only come home twice a day to take care of my 3 rescue Miniature Schnauzers and quickly take care of my house.
