Jim's Story

Life Middle of three boys born 2/7/35 at Magee Hospital, resided in Regent Square, father was a mechanical engineer, got lost in Frick Park moved to Forest Hills and attended Hawthorn Elementary School. Built and flew model airplanes in the schoolyard. Have a memorable experience at Wilkinsburg High School with a vague impression of the Middle Schools (ours burned down and we were sent to Johnson School fourth floor). At WHS took a technical curriculum, with extra curricular activities including Orchestra and WHS Marching Band. Unforgettable transportation system (87 Ardmore Trolley) traveling to and from WHS. Graduated BSEE Davis Elkins College, AF ROTC June 1, 1957. Employed at United States Corp, Homestead District Works (not there anymore) as a management trainee, elevated to operating maintenance supervisor in the Bloom and Structural Mills. ied Marilyn Jean Feit class of 1955, June 15, 1957 Beulah Presbyterian Church, two children James and Suzanne. Widower July 2005. Accepted a move to Cape Canaveral, FL to work the Apollo & Moon Space Program 1963 - 1972 and Kennedy Space Center 1988 – 1997 for Space Station development. Moved to Florida West Coast Crystal River 1973, Jim Nuclear Power Plant Construction and Real Estate, Marilyn became a residential building contractor. Relocated to Florida West Coast St. Petersburg 1997. Volunteered for Florida Jaycees, Habitat for Humanity Brevard County FL, Habitat for Humanity Macon County, NC and WHS All Classes Florida Reunion Tampa Florida. Enjoy a social job as Product Demonstrator, travel and use timeshare. Have two gifted grand children Tara and Lauren involved in sailing, wrestling, ice skating and track so you see I'm staying busy.
