Jim's Story

Life Still "living!?" in Albany. Mostly to support my hobbies: Motorcycles, Computers, Reading, Scale Model Race Cars, Canoeing, and Kayaking. I'm single again after 20 years. my second wife , Diane, passed away on October 19th.2007. Now it's just me and the Lovebird that flew into our yard and claimed us as his new flock about two weeks before Diane died. My granddaughter who lived with me for a few months bought another one and now I have two birds, and a cat, but the granddaughter moved out. Alone again. That didn't last! I just got married on the 26th of Dec. to an "old" friend, Agnes Cohen...etc. School High School?? Hummmmm!!! Still trying to forget most of it except the girls! Always liked the girls, but was shy! was always afraid to ask the really pretty ones my age out so I always dated younger pretty ones. College College - "WOW! It's Like A big Haze , Man!" LOL! Being a Chemistry Major had its "ups" and it's "downs". HA! I enjoyed my two years at Darton (AJC). Then Off to the BIG school UGA and culture shock. I had a 15 year old Jewish roomate from the Bronx, New York. Culture shock for both of us. It worked out great, We are still Friends today and He lives in the South and married a petite blond Southern girl. The time frame we were in college was a turbulant time in US history! Would not have missed it for the world! What parts I still can remember. LOL! Seriously, college from 1966-1970 ...Expand for more
was very stressful for an American Male with Vietnam, drugs, NIXON and his LIES! Just ask George W. Bush he's still in a haze over it and so are Bill and Hillary Clinton, and more than Half of AMERICA. I crashed my dirtbike and left college with one quarter left to go. I married my best friend. It lasted 11 years. we just helped each other finish growing up. Finishing college got lost in the shuffle. Workplace Helter Skelter! Start at the bottom! Procter & Gamble trained me in the Electronics field. I found that it was vastly more useful than the Chemistry I had majored in. Climb to the Top! I worked since 1972 in the electical/electronics field and in 1990 I was the Maintenance Manager and then the Facilicty Engineer for the Nypro plastic injection molding plant here in Albany. I left them after nine years to go to R & L Engineering as an Project Engineer before Nypro moved all their Albany business to Dothan AL. I worked with R & L until they down-sized me out the door. Then I was a Maintenance Specialist with Exo-Pack. Start over at the bottom! Life goes on! Anytime when someone has specialist in their job title, believe me it means they do everything and specialize in No thing! Well now I no longer have this job, I've grieved myself out of it since my wife died. This really is the bottom again!! Now I'm at the Marine Base doing Maintenance for a contract company. work again finally! Military NO THANKS!
