Jim's Story
Hey all ! I guess a good start would be to walk down memory lane and give everyone something to go on. I was born in Long Branch 52 yrs ago...time flies . Kindergarten/ 1st grade was at the Wall Street school in West Long Branch-2nd grade was LBPS across from Ocean View Bakery-3rd thru 8th Our Lady Star of the Sea and 9th thru senior at LBHS-the Green Wave and our Mean Green Marching Machine -class of 77.
My family moved into Woodrow Wilson when I was in third grade and that remained our core for growing up through my senior year and into both sister's Sharlynn and Carol's school years there. Woodrow, then, was...Expand for more
actually a decent place to live and grow as the vast majority that lived there were humble in nature and a good group of working class people's. It most definetly was unlike Garfield or Grant court's and of what I hear it has sadly turned into today.
Many of friends and family members still remain in my heart and some of those friends were more family than actual family. Briefly in the Navy after high school-returned to LB and then moved to Asbury Park for a few years-then Toms River (Silverton) before making a move to Virginia in Nov. 89 and here I remain in Norfolk/Virginia Beach region of SE Virginia.
