Jim's Story
Cathy Carnaby (Kimball, class of 1973) and I got married in September 1978. We have two sons. Steve, the eldest is married, works for General Mills in Minneapolis. He and his wife Ardi have 1 son, Ben, born 11/2011 -- so we are grandparents, which is very cool. Second son, Dave, is single and works for Oak Ridge National Laboratories in Knoxville, Tennessee.
In 1977, I graduated from Michigan State with a degree in Chemical Engineering (thank you, Mr. Heald!), and worked for Dow Chemical for over 32 years. I retired from Dow a little over 2 years ago, but do about 10 hours per week of contract work....Expand for more
Cathy graduated from Alma College with a degree in Mathematics (Mr. Ewell would be proud!). Later, you got a degree in Accounting from Saginaw Valley, and has been a CPA focused on tax work for about the past 15 years.
We live in Cheboygan County, in Michigan, during the summer, and north of Tucson, Arizona in the winter.
We're members of St. John's Lutheran Church in Cheboygan, and associate members of Resurrection Lutheran Church in Oro Valley, Arizona.
Our favorite hobbies include travel, water skiing, golf, hiking, and most importantly spoiling our new grandson.
