I first met Zack when he was pledging to be in the Swami's club.
11 year old micro grom with the ambition to be a pro shaper and pro surfer.
( this was right at the height of the Penn state Jerry Sandusky scandal )
I scoute
12'5" Brewer balsa gun on the home stretch to being better than new.
Freight gorillas managed to snap 4" off the nose, an inch off the tail and the clincher was not just breaking the fin, but causing the glass under the fin
Matt Maletta Sunset Beach on reproduction of Wally Froseiths Hot Curl.
No fin, well overhead and in the Curl.
One of 17 balsa and redwood reproduction boards I built for a historical surfing film.
Surfing through time
9'10" Swami's model for Wavegliders distribution in Europe.
Old Growth Redwood salvaged into disappearing wedge center with 5/16" Western cedar offsets.
This shape wanted to be born, it flowed right out from under my plane
