College
After high school, like many, I started at the University of Minnesota. Didn't do much studying there, either. The second quarter, I received 12 credits and the school put me on probation. The next quarter was better - no fails, but not enough by their standards, so they told me to go away.

e Navy for 4 years. Received honorable discharge in January, 1970 (they were trying to cut back and gave an early out). Got married in July, 1970 and went back to school in September, 1970.
It was much different - I received A's in many of the classes that I failed before. Somehow it seems I had a greater desire to learn something. Graduated with Jeff Saxton, who was back from the service, also.
