Jim's Story

Life While in high school, I worked for Zamboni Bros. who owned the electric shop on Paramount Blvd. and the Iceland Skating Rink on Jackson St. in Paramount. One brother had the electrical shop that repaired/rewound industrial electric motors and employed commercial electricians for field industrial needs. The other, manufactured the ice cleaning machines that you see used today by the National Hockey League and other Ice arenas throughout the world . Following HS graduation, I worked for Douglas Aircraft as a machinist. In 1966, during Viet Nam, I was drafted into the US Army for 2 years. After Military Service, I briefly returned to Douglas Aircraft and then entered Law Enforcement. I was a Police Officer for about 9.5 years in both LA and Orange County Police Agencies. ison and Huntington Beach High Schools in Huntington Beach, CA. Until retirement, Dec 2007, I was employed for the past 30+ years in Internal Security, Investigations and Corporate Security Management. I married a great lady, have 2 grown sons and 8 grandchildren. Until my mother's passing in Jan 2005, she still lived in Paramount--the same house I grew up in on Motz St. That property has since been sold and converted into 5 condo units. I very much enjoyed our 40th class reunion and looking forward to the 50th in Sept. 2011. I enjoy a variety of sports, especially Baseball & Football. My wife and I are avid Anaheim Angels Baseball fans and long time season ticket holders. We frequently attend Baseball games at Cal State Fullerton (my Alma Mater), and a variety of sporting events at our local high school. We very much enjoy traveling to almost anywhere-anytime and especially like visiting Lake Tahoe and taking Cruises....
