Jim's Story

Life After HHS I went to SAC then UT Austin. Degree in business in '67. Sandra (Sandee Royal) graduated from Abilene Christian also in '67 with teaching degree. We got married in Oct. '67 so our 40th anniv. is in the fall. She taught in Arlington, Tx and I worked for EDS(Ross Perot) in Dallas. We moved with EDS to Columbia, S.C. in '74 and then back to Plano in '77. I switched from EDS to Peat Marwick Mitchell as a Systems Consultant in '80. In '84 I went with a PMM customer, American Heritage Life in Jacksonville, Fl., as VP of data processing, was promoted to Senior VP of Administration in '85 and to Exec VP of Sales and Marketing in '85. ided to move back "home" to San Antonio to be near our parents since they were starting to have health problems so I retired in '94. We ended up in Blanco, Tx, 40 miles from S.A. where I built an RV Park and Sandra teaches kindergarten. We have 30 acres on the Blanco River 7 miles outside Blanco, which is a very beautiful place. We have two sons, one has a home on our property, and he and his wife and our two grandsons live a half mile away. Our younger son lives in Boerne, Tx which is only 40 miles away. My parents are now deceased but Sandra's are still living in Kirby, Tx., about 50 miles away. Her dad, Lee Wick is 97 and her mom Lois is 88. We have had, and have a great life. Couldn't have been or be much better.
