College
At Oregon, it was tough to keep a straight face cheering for teams called the "Mighty" Ducks!
Workplace
After the Free Lancer, they still let me write -- and now, I get paid for it! My latest book, THE CUBS ON CATALINA, was named "Book of the Year" by The Sporting News and was featured on PBS in a Huell Howser "California Gold" show!
Military
They wouldn't trust me with weapons, so there was no sense in looking into this one . . . beside the fact that I'm unable to get up before 8 a.m.!
