Jimmie's Story

Life I had been a Nurse's Aide, in the great state of New York 'till June of '06, and creating pieces of music in my spare time. -I guess Nursing ain't for everyone, but at least I tried... And, made it that far. (Some people wouldn't have even TRIED it.) Meanwhile, during my search for satisfying long-term work, I'm currently trying to get employed at The Guitar Center, despite a nagging back problem I don't wish to talk about here. I have two kids, (So, I hear... -And, weekly pay for...) living, somewhere south, (-Nunya business where...)with my "Ex-mistake" from years past. I have a 2nd wife now, and life is mostly as good as I guess it gets. -I haven't had great success with my musics, yet... (-Well... -Yeah, I kinda do... -Just daily, and not really monetarily. -More like spiritually 'tho. It really DOES feel good to do good deeds, every so often, and when we can.) We're really not much "in" to holidays...(Well, my Wife is..., more than I...) -I, personally, recognize Thanksgiving and Memorial day each year. All the rest are nothing more than "time + one-half" when I go in to work. (-I DO also recognize our birthdays, and we DO exchange gifts to each other around "Christmas"... But, we are NOTHING without our jobs!!!) I did my musical project(Knightraven: "Senseless Crimes") between 2005 and 2006. I'm currently trying to recreate old songs I'd written well in the past for a project I'm currently calling "Some Things I've Said". My "Domestic Violins" CD, from 2002, wasn't really as well received as I would have liked, but there WAS music I liked on it... And, I played each track as good as I could then, and sometimes now. There will be recreated recordings of songs from BOTH the "Senseless Crimes" and "Domestic Violins" CD's, and free & complete samples of these songs are posted at my Vox page. -I've ALWAYS wanted to achieve FAME and FORTUNE... But, I've only achieved a little "fame"... (-Not quite that "fifteen minutes" worth I've heard of...-Guess that's the way it goes, eh?) -But I'd kinda like to earn a better living at it than I do. Right now, I do my songs because I can, and because I enjoy doing them. -Not because they're perfectly great, or anything... My friend Al, and I had started writing for another project, then called "Virtual Kings". We have the 1st draft of one song posted on the 'net so far. It's called "See You Tonight". -Plus, there's a video version of it posted there(that I'm not really proud of, but it's there.) No matter HOW you try and slice this page up, you will find that it is NOT an ad, at all. -It IS, merely, a semi-detailed report on what it is I'm really up to..., right at this moment in time, because a handful of family and friends care to know. ...Expand for more
However, I will be happy to bill you a little, for a hard-copy CD of one, or two particular projects (-A finished, and personally autographed CD), If UR interested. -$10+S&H. Just write to me here, and I'll tell you how to get it. Come and enjoy some of this, AND for FREE!!! It ROCKS!!! Don't believe me? -Ask around. I know a few people who HAVE their copies already... -Jim School I had a few "biggest crushes"... -Too numerous to list them all here. I went to school with a LOT of "hotties"!!! -I still do!!! (grins) A diabetic Band Director was probably the biggest inspiration to get into the hospital work I do now. Another Band Director, once told me that "Guitars have no place in a concert band"... (-Thus, my song "Nevermore". Concert band, meets Rock.) Do all of this, all over again? -Not even with YOUR life. I wouldn't wish for my past life to have to happen to anyone. -I DID turn out ok, but it was one messed up way to have to get here. My happiest memories? -Probably Marching Band competitions in Florida, and summertime in Moberly. College I never went to College, EXCEPT, to get my GED. -But, my hospital work took place in a School Of Nursing... Which meant I actually found a way to get paid to learn. Outside of high school, I taught myself how to do the music I do now. Study and practice... Study and practice. Workplace Was anyone lucky enough to not have to flip burgers at some point??? -I've been a short-order cook for Perkin's, a Waiter, Cocktail Waiter, dish-dog and Prep-Cook. I ran my own Mobile Car Detailing service for a couple of years, 'till my 1st divorace... -Which left me broker than broke. (I was SOOOOooo broke, that I couldn't afford to file for bankruptsy!!!) Homeless for a little while, I learned how to hitchhike, snowboard and make use of day-labor jobs. One day-labor job, in Las Vegas, got me into my first hospital job... -Stripping and waxing floors/Housekeeping. (-Male stripper!!! -Just kidding!!!) I, then, worked for Wal-Mart (give a "Wal-Mart cheer" now...) for about a year and a half. We moved to New York in July of 2001... -Just in time for the terrorist attack on the twin towers, which caused a "hiring-freeze" across New York (And, probably elsewhere) I, then, took (and passed) my CNA class, and became a Nurses Aide... CERTIFIED, by the GREAT STATE of New York, and I had been doing this 'till this month. I'm now seeking new employment. -I'm not too sure what I'll wind up doing yet. I hope to, one day, find a job that allows me to freely speak my mind (no matter how crazy I may sound sometimes), and allow me to continue to earn a comfortable living. Is there such a thing? -I've heard rumors.... -Had 'em too....
